A senior delegation from the Chengdu Aviation Economic Zone (AEZ) met with RH Aero Systems executives at the company’s stand during last week’s Paris Airshow
Le Bourget, France – 19 June 2025 – A senior delegation from the Chengdu Aviation Economic Zone (AEZ) met with RH Aero Systems executives at the company’s stand during last week’s Paris Airshow to review their growing collaboration and outline the next stage of operational cooperation for the Chinese aviation market.
The AEZ team, Mr. Su Li (Director, AEZ Management Committee), Mr. Dai Yongchun (Deputy Director, Bureau of Economics & Information Technology, Shuangliu District) and Ms. Liu Yunfang (Chief of Port Section, AEZ Management Committee), was welcomed by Martin Duerr, Managing Director & Executive Vice President Commercial and the team.
Since 2023, when AEZ supported HYDRO establish its first service station in Chengdu, Southwest-China, the partnership has concentrated on bringing certified tooling, calibration and ground-support equipment (GSE) expertise closer to Chinese airlines and MRO providers. A follow-on agreement signed in 2024 secures a new dedicated workshop inside the zone—an expansion that will further shorten turnaround times and broaden the local product and service portfolio. AEZ has agreed to continued support to ensure the facility comes online smoothly and scales to meet future demand.
Martin Duerr commented:
“China’s airlines operate very dynamic fleets. By combining AEZ’s world-class industrial platform with HYDRO’s technical know-how, we are creating a service ecosystem that delivers faster response, higher tool availability and true peace of mind for operators throughout the region.”
The visit underscored both parties’ commitment to deepen localisation efforts, nurture skilled jobs in Chengdu and reinforce the aviation supply-chain resilience of Southwest China.
